1x2 / 2x2 Multimode FBT (Fused Biconical Taper) optical splitters are passive devices used in multimode fiber networks to split or combine optical signals. Unlike singlemode splitters, which are optimized for long-distance and high-bandwidth applications, multimode FBT splitters work with multimode fibers (typically 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm) and are used in applications where data transmission over shorter distances is common, such as within buildings or data centers.
